Sorry for the radio silence

The second round is well underway, and I'm long overdue for a pool update. In case you've been busy doing last minute taxes, or studying for exams (I've been doing both!) and haven't been able to watch much hockey over the last few days, here's quick recap:

• The Detroit Red Wings have continued their dominance over the Colorado Avalanche and built a quick 2-0 lead in their series.
• The Montreal Canadiens needed some late game heroics to beat the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 1, but couldn't pull off the comeback in Game 2. The Flyers leave the Bell Centre with a split.
• In one of the most exciting games of the playoffs (at least I think it was, I spent most of the third period on the phone with Winnipeg), the Pittsburgh Penguins came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat New York Rangers 5-4.
• In the least hyped series of the second round, the Brendan Morrow scored the overtime winner to lift the Dallas Stars over the San Jose Sharks.

What does all that mean for the pool? Well Justin Lee still leads, in fact he's pulled even further ahead since the end of the first round; Jason Anthony made a big jump from 21st to ninth; and I'm still in second last.

1) Justin Lee 116 You already have four players in double digits

Did you watch the Colorado/Detroit game this afternoon?

It was a TSN/NBC joint venture with NBC taking the lead.

I've never been so thankful to hear Pierre McGuire's voice, even though he was only the third billed play-by-play guy.

Holy awful. They compared Zetterberg to Speed Racer (The new Speed Racer movie happened to be a sponsor). When the puck flew into the air, it was called a "pop fly".

UGH.

The NBC announcers do approach things differently, don't they.

I didn't see the entire game on Saturday, but I know what you're talking about.

I guess if it sells the game to Americans it's good for hockey, right?
