A Penner...from Winkler?
When Don Wittman announced that Dustin Penner was recalled by the Mighty Ducks, I honestly didn't give it a second thought, but latter in the first period the ever informative play-by-play man told us he was from Winkler, Man.
A Penner from Winkler? Who would have guessed THAT?

How about Winkler having a cemetery registry? Anywho... Dustin is actually an old high school friend of mine who was a late-bloomer, hockey-wise. He's a big power forward in the Bertuzzi mold who will be a fixture in the Ducks lineup starting next year.
