Doubting Thomas?
As in Tim Thomas and the Boston Bruins.
Here's a breakdown of the first round, based on the picks from the 43 people who entered the team side this year.
Montreal 100% vs. Boston 0% — No love for Chara, Savard & Co.
Pittsburgh 93% vs. Ottawa 7% — Apparently seven per cent of poolies stopped watching the NHL in December
Washington 72% vs. Philadelphia 28% — Six weeks ago I bet these numbers are reversed
New Jersey 37% vs. New York Rangers 63% — Maybe it pays to listen to Pierre McGuire (he picked the Rangers to win the Cup)
Detroit 98% vs. Nashville 2% — Only one brave soul went out on a limb here
San Jose 53% vs. Calgary 47% — The closest series by far
Anaheim 86% vs. Dallas 14% — Those 14 per cent of poolies look very smart, at least after one game
